If I am going to be doing manual tool changes but using setable tooling how/where is this done? I have been doing some researching and if I am right I put the offsets into Mach 3 and just call out the tool in OneCNC. Is this right? Do I need to change the post and if so how? Tool list? I can't find too much in the books. Thanks, Thomas |

| Here's Art's reply to basically the same question yesterday on the Yahoo group. I believe you also need a tool change using Tx

| Here is what I did, with my Mach3 mill and OneCNC. I loaded all the tooling I used most into Mach in the tool table. Get you a hard copy of this on paper, lable what the tool is, it's stats and it's number you called it in mach. (of course then set all your tools in your library to your master tool). Then in OneCNC goto the tool library and label the tools that are in that library the same as the ones on your hard copy. NOTE: as you may know you can't put more than 256 in mach's library. In you post of OneCNC, set your G43 to out put on tool changes: {T} {TC} {H} code for: Tool #, M6, Heigth offset What this will do is pull up the Tool in the library, and the associated Hiegth offset in that same library, and automatically apply it. scott |
