    HELLO,

I RECENTLY REGISTERED HERE BECAUSE YOU GUY'S SEEM TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. THAT'S GOOD BECAUSE I DON'T.
I'VE NEVER USED CAD/CAM BEFORE AND AM INTERESTED IN PURCHASING. I'VE BEEN LOOKING AT VISUAL MILL 4 PROFESSIONAL AND ONECNC. 4 AXIS MILLING A MUST.

    Hi Mr B

Onecnc XP does not have "live" 4th axis at present, I believe.
I've heard this is in the planning for the future.

    Sorry.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

    brtlatjgt,

I would STONGLY suggest requiring any software vendors to demonstrate programming a part you will be working with. Have them do this for you step by step. Then be sure all the workings of the software are to your liking. The sample programs many vendors want to demo are usually perfected for their software. DO NOT be swayed by cost alone. A $3000.00 to $5000.00 mistake in purchasing is much more costly than a $8000.00 dollar quality purchase.
