    Happy new user

Bought XR4 Mill Professional last week from Patrick at OneCNC West after having had to most arduous 2-1/2 year journey with Bobcad V23.
This software is incredible in comparison. I've done more in the last week with this software then the entire time with Bobcad. I learned of the software from this site and i must say Patricks reputation precedes him. He is unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable about the software. It has become obvious to me that Machinists were involved in the development of this software rather than video gamers or engineers that don't have a clue. Have a great weekend.

Great to hear. I have been debating between BobCAD-CAM and OneCNC or the past week. Looking at so many videos and examples, i'm really thinking that OneCNC is the way to go. Hearing you say its much better than Bob, helps me take the plunge. Tomorrow, i buy OneCNC.
I've been a Mastercam Programmer for the last 5 years and now on my own, its way overpriced for me. OneCNC looks like it will do everything i need that i already have used in X5 for over half the price tag.

Any former X5 users convert to once cnc?

I purchased BobcadV23,Preditor editor, and Bobart 2-1/2 years ago and have had nothing but problems and frustrations. Both with the software and the poor/lack of support. I can't even begin to describe that lousy software. Then i saw a thread on Bobdacs forum from a frustrated user and several people mentioned Onecnc and were happy. Since i got XR4, honestly i'm am lightyears from where i was. I seems like Bobcad had video gaming kids design there program and Onecnc had machinist with a working background design there's. May i make a suggestion, call a gentleman named Patrick at 909-931-7811. This guy will go out of his WAY to answer your questions and provide support. No extra fees, no BS or promises. His name is mentioned all over this board for good reason. Seriously, i don't endorse stuff but Patrick and Onecnc have changed my game. Give me a holler if you have any other questions.

I have had BobCad V23 for about 2-1/2 years also and it's giving me problems too. Im trying to get the post process for plasma cutting to work with my torchmate 3 software. Do you know anyone that can help me with bobcad posting in torchmate? Darrin

Well when i bought Bobcad they told me it would work for plasma as i knew i would be building my own3 axis system. Once i did, i couldn't get it to work right. There just wasn't the proper parameters for plasma. So after a long hair pulling ordeal, i took the recommendations from others and purchased Sheetcam. Which does work very well for plasma work. I draw in OneCNC, import in Sheetcam(which sets up the operations specifically for plasma work) as .dxf, and it posts the g-code file into Mach3.
