    Selling OneCNC XR???

does anyone know what OneCNC's policy is with regards to selling or "transfering" a license?
In other words, if I want to sell my copy of OneCNC, what do I do?

You call OneCNC and ask them.

Well... I would be interested in a license of OneCNC XR. Which version are you selling ?
I was looking at Mill Expert. What does OneCNC say to this ?

    cool625,

Unfortunately I sold it, I had the Advantage version. According to OneCnc there is no problem selling it, you have to inform them in writing. The buyer is required to pay $500 if they want phone support (this is optional)

That is really nice of the folks at ONECNC. "Monkeycam" specifically prohibits selling any seat.

On top of it, the folks at OneCNC treat you, the buyer of the "used" seat just as if you had bought it new. It really adds value to their product by doing this. Can't say the same for any other software company.

What the other companies do never made sense to me. When someone puts software on the shelf the company looses the support fees and most likley has one more unhappy customer.

Onecnc's way leaves the seller on good terms and gains another user.

    Hey guys,
The folks at One CNC seem to have their heads on straight. I would love to try their software sometime. I have to use Monkeycam at work. Although it is good software, I would be discouraged from ever buying it because of their buissness practices. Everything costs with them. I mean everything. I guess this is a reflection on the reseller more than the parent company, but the are both in bed together. We even had them try to renig on a agreement we had in writting from them. If I ever get to purchase a seat of software, it will definitly won't be Monkeycam, the common man can't afford it.

    My 2 cents

Change of heart, I decided to hang on to my license and upgrade to XR2. No matter how hard I look I keep coming back to OneCNC for my price/performance range. My only complaint is I wish they had a downloadable demo.

I agree on the need for a demo. It is holding us back from making the purchase. I think of it as going shopping for a car. You get all the info you can, brochures, reserch on the net. You narrow the feild down, then you go to dealers and look in person, and take a test drive. Now if I had three cars I was trying to pick from and one of the dealers told me I couldn't have a test drive unless I paid for the car first, well I'd only be chosing between two cars.
