OSP 7000M DNC-DT Setup

Help!
I'm setting up a MC40VA-HS w/OSP7000M. This was purchased as a used machine, came w/o manuals. I need info on setting up the DNC-DT. I'm not new to the OSP controls (2ea 700m, 1ea 5020, 1ea U10L, and 1ea 7000M), but I've never worked with the Ethernet connection or communications on an Okuma. Does anybody have the DNC-DT document they could PDF for me?

TIA

Buy me a Beer?

Talk to your distributor and see if they can get you section 9 of manual 4061-E. That will give you the parameter listings. I'm assuming you have a computer that is set up as a host for DNC and that you have the option on your machine as well. The option only becomes effective if the switch is turned on and the machine is re-booted with it on.

Right now I don't have a dedicated PC to communicate with this machine - although I do have PC hardware available.

One of the other machines I have has the DNC-B. On that machine there is a dedicated PC running WIN95 and a program called OKDNC. It work very well. On this "new" machine as it has DNC-DT, and a Thick-net to 10BT transceiver, I don't know if I can just plug a cat5 cable into the machine control and my local network and "browse" the machine, or if there needs to be a dedicated PC with special software to talk to the machine via the 10BT (cat5) cable......I'll work on getting the manual.....

Thanks -

S

to have Okuma OSP visible on the net, valid IP address is enough. It must be set manually, so You make reserve for that address on Your network server (router).

Algirdas,

How do I manually set the IP address for the OSP? Can you be more specific?
Thanks.

How do I manually set the IP address for the OSP?
You can set the IP address and subnet mask on OSP 7000 only manually.
Parameters - DNC/DT parameters.
192.168.0.4 should work in common circumstances. Please, check, if "4" is available in Your subnet. You can enter whatever until what Your router understands instead of "4"
Make sure, You see this group of parameters: search, display select, select.
