Have an alarm code "065 alarm p svp start" after installing a LR15 with 5020. Also at the bottom of the screen is "SBU monitor" showing and nothing on the controller works. I'm wondering if the first alarm is a symptom not a cause of the problem. Is there a next step to the SBU monitor prompt? There is a good chance the axis(s) moved in transit and I was thinking the controller may be upset at power up because of a change in position of the slide(s)? |

| The servo processor is not communicating properly with the control during startup. The position of the axis doesn't matter. The Okuma has absolute encoders and they will read the new position when booting. If the machine has been transported, most likely one of the connectors or circuits on the drive units has a bad connection. Sometimes reseating them will cure the problem. Check your drive units for codes or error indicators to try to determine which unit is causing the problem. It's possible that the drive unit went bad, but much more likely that something jiggled loose during machine movement. Yes i've seen it before especially if the machine isn't shipped air ride. |
