Angry atc crash!!

ok my air pressure alarm came on in the middle of a tool change and screwed me up... tried to do a manuel tool change and the atc crashed into the tool and set off the "160 alarm B ATC axis condition failure 2002" got the atc back but now that alarm wont go away... so my question is how do i get it to go away?

easy, step-by-step manual mode. Pay attention to spindle collet open when needed and spindle orientation.
first You tell us something about Your McTurn and what tool shaft (BT60, MAS) You have there.
Which ATC sequence number are You playing in now? Are You able to take away relevant tools?

You're going to find label of the machine and to find out what it is. Next - control (OSP) model
ATC axis change pin rotary side is not off
some mistake: You paid for Multus (or MacTurn) and seller delivered some MX to You.
where is this it is at the same place on every Okuma machining centers with axis switch between magazine chain and CAM shaft of ATC arm
You can reset/ set it manually activating hydraulic actuator. In the case of OSP P200 control You can activate from adjustment mode on OSP

ask someone for help. You are unable to find the machine model name. The limit position sensor is not an axis switch pin.

Hey Algirdas,
Incase it has escaped your attention, "guydrisc" IS asking someone for help... everyone on this forum!
YOU are the one that tried to tell this person what machine he has, when it seemed clear to me that he did not have the machine you were referring to, fancy thinking that you could order a machine and not notice that the suppliers delivered something totally different!?!
OK, you may find servicing a machine easy, but there are a lot of people out there that only know how to use their machine, not how to fix them!
People like to ask for help on this forum and would like a sensible, constructive, bit of guidance.
Sorry Guydrisc, but I do not know how to fix or overcome this problem for you. ATC lockups can be tricky to overcome sometimes on an Okuma.
There is ways of resetting and overriding the ATC sequence number via the Parameter screens, but you have to know how to "Turn On" the relevant screens and then be VERY careful to not try to do an action that the machine is not ready for, things can break!
Do you not have access to an Okuma qualified service agent in your area?
Sounds like it is a job for them to assist you with, make notes on how the problem is fixed, ready for next time the air stops on you mid tool change.
Regards
Brian.

AGREED!!

I don't know how to fix it either, but it can be fixed. My friend told me a joke and the punchline was "nothing is impossible especially for the guy who has to do it".

Guydrisk don't give up on Okumas they are really maddening and impressive machines. But I can feel your frustration over the computer screen.

If I can help with anything send me a pm.

Robert

I THINK (I know it's dangerous), if you go into MDI hold down the write key, push the zero key while holding down the write key. Go into manual mode and push the one step back key it will put you back on sequence zero.
