| Don't want to fight anymore with this ATC. I am just trying to make it "disappear" so I wouldn't have the machine down because of an error at start up. I know, sounds stupid for you guys but I am not doing any production jobs and I can live without ATC. Tried to call Okuma about that, they were not very helpful...and they even said that this type of ATC was a "B.tch" So If anyone knows how to "turn off" the atc, I buy it right away. Thanks. |

| EDMguy Are you still having probs with the toolchanger ? Are all pots and spindle empty and set to be empty ? Empty the pots that dom't have a tool in them, I think, set * <Write> on the pot# when Tool Data page is on screen and the machine is in Manual Mode For easier running, 1 pot must be empty to enable the spindle to return the current tool at the end of the program Using MDI to empty the spindle It is good practice to call up an empty pot with M63 <Cycle start> ( this finds the empty pot ) M6 <Cycle Start> ( this places the current tool away ) |

That is not my problem.I keep having error messages like the ATC is not ready right at start up of the machine and I can't do anything with the machine, the alarm is freezing it. I had many different alarms with the atc since we have this machine. From what the Okuma support said, they are not related to each other, just different problems coming one after the other. I just want to be able to "turn off" the toolchanger so the machine will not lock up at start up with an alarm. I hope there is a way to do that... |

| Do you have manuals ? especially the alarms and errors manual ? If posting the alarm #, also put up the entire comment line, it all helps to target and solve a lot of problems, Also look at the diagnosis page, some errors can be identified by a limit not being made, or spindle not orientated or a time-out has occured. As for actually disabling the tool-changer, I'm not sure, but it's setting should be in the machine parameter section of the manual |
