    Helical Milling on VR-40

Trying to do some Helical Milling on an Okuma VR-40 with OSP500M-G control. On the line of my program that contains G17 G02.... I get alarm 452, which according to the alarm book it could be that my control does not have helical milling abilities. Is this a simple paramter setting in the control? If so does any one know which parameter and what it should be set to.

Ok so I went and tried a couple of things and the program will run until I give it a z move, meaning it will do the circular interpolation all day long but soon as I add a Z move it alarms out. So I am either programming the Z move incorrectly or the control won't handle the helical interpolation. So this beggs the question again, is this a simple parameter thing or am I out of Luck??!!
    Thanks,

no you can't , we got the exact same machine

the control tont support helical milling (XYZ moves in G2 or G3 mode), you got to output small G01 on a CAM program (like mastercam)

Yes As Goldorak said, helical cutting is option for VR-40. Better to get a cam program
