okuma lr15 problem

Hi all, We recently purchased a used okuma lr15 with osp 5020 control.
If I try to turn the spindle in mdi, I get a chuck open 1 alarm and the top Turret (A) starts to fall.
Then when I press reset to clear the alarm, another alarm dif over appears.
I gather this second alarm is because of the turret falling, so my questions are:
1. Why am I getting the original chuck open error.
2. Why does the turret fall after and alarm appears.

Also, does anyone have a training or programming manual for this machine for sale.
Thanx
David

Question

managed to fix the chuck open alarm.....
The switch at the rear of the spindle was not set at the proper position...
Turret A still falls when power is deactivated eg. (emergancy stop is pressed)

Any Ideas??

The brake on the X-axis is not working correctly.

"Diff over" alarm is showning up because a discrepancy between last position at E-stop and current position ( because of the brake problem )

to fix, the parts manual would be the first point of call, or Okuma service

Any OSP5000L to OSP7000L programming manuals should be OK, the info seems to be generic for the lathes, so if you have another Okuma lathe with manuals, these would get you going
If you have "One TOUCH" IGF , likewise, any manual would fill the gap

Machine specific manuals would obviously be parts, operation, installation and any attached units ( conveyor, c-axis etc ). The machine should have had them, last owner ( any chance, seeing he doesn't have the machine anymore ) ?? Okuma $$$,

someone may have these manuals on a CD and can copy it for a "tiny" fee
any takers???

Yes that would do...
I have operation and maintenance manual,s which should help me sort the problems Im having.
( With the help of this forum of coarse)

But the basic okuma programming and igf operations manuals would be a great help once the machine is fully operational.

PDF's

David
attaching a couple of PDF's

These are for a OSP P200L control, but should be useable
-Alarms & Errors
-Programming

Don't have a basic IGF, only have the advanced ( completely different and would make things more confusing )

Steve

Problems,,, not allowing me to upload pdf's or ZIP ( will try again later ) Solved
