Im trying to set up a post in esperit for old 4 axis okuma lathes. The generic post that came with the software aren't even close. Anybody out there got anything that would be close for an old LC 30? Its really hard to get any support on this software,,,,plus the age of the equipment. Thanks for any help.

Just in case you haven't found an answer yet, can you contact your Esprit rep and ask them for a post? If you don't have a maintenance agreement with them, though, they may not help you. Anyway, the posts can be edited in a word processor including Notepad. Find a post that is close to what you want and make edits to suit your requirements. Save it as, for instance, test. Run your code using this modified post and see if what you changed works. I have yet to see a perfect post, but you can get really close.
We run Esprit and the shop has at least 8 Okuma lathes, several have dual slides.

Hello Bob, thanks for your reply. We don't have any maint. agreement with the software company. We are planning on buying an upgrade in the near future along with some more training. It has one post that is close but has a lot of extra stuff. The most trouble im having is posting the sync codes correctly. We bought the software a few years back, but didn't try to use it till recently.

Did you need LC-30 Information? If so, what are you looking for? I've still got some old files and manuals that might help.
