OKUMA Cadet-Mate V4020 question

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not this machine is capable of machining tool steel with a hardness of 60Rc? And if so, thoughts on tools that could cut material this hard.

we have the same machine and do 30rc all the time using carbide
where in canada are you?

My cadet 4020 it is a very good machine considering its age and previous owner If your Machine is like mine its a box way Machine nice and rigid the only problem, is the lack of memory and 8K Spindle other than that you should be able to cut whatever you want with it or whatever your tooling will. I have cut Cobalt Crome with no problem 52rc and very nasty on tooling.

Sorry Tools to cut 60rc I would look to SGS get a catalog from them or talk to a technical salesman they were very helpful when I needed help.
