Lathe program/alarm issue

It's an Okuma OSP-E100L control

code:
G0 X20 Z20
G50 S900
T0202 G96 S200 M3 M8
X3.8 Z.1
Z-.2
G1 X3.7614 Z-3151 F.02

This works.

If i change the G50 value to S350 i get this alarm:

Spindle Revolution over A side 3E8

any idea why?

Thanks ahead of time....

Hei, I had same type problem with "spindle revolution over..." with over 100kg piece. (multus b400) Spindle motor load monitor shows about 60%. When cutting stop and spidle loading low down spinde speed cross G50 limit and I get alarm.

can you check on the manual if there is a miscellaneous command for a specific gear for a specific range of speed?

I allways use low and hig speed gears. But when diameter is big enough even prex motor can have little troubles. Problem was around 600 mm diameter.

Try changing your gear range M41, M42, M43. Whichever your machine range is now, you probably want the M41 range which is the lowest if you need to go this slow.

as follows;

G50 S350
G96 M3 S200 M41
