Default Okuma MC4VA OSP5000 "557 ALARM B Spindle pulse generator"

    Hi,

I have okuma MC4VA with OSP5000M, from yesterder I have a problem with her:

    1. Spindle can't start, and there is no alarm on OSP5000 monitor and no alarm in spindle drive unit

    2. After about 15 seconds alarm occurs on OSP5000 monitor "557 ALARM B Spindle pulse generator"

I have read in alarm list that possibly there is a problem with:
    1) Defective pulse generator
    2) Defective ECP card 3

How can I diagnoze which part is defective, where I can find "pulse generator" ?? And maybe someone know hot to fix this ?

    Thank you.

When I rotate it by hand, speed is displayed correctly on monitor. But there is no way to start spindle...

This can get involved, but for starters, do you see the spindle try to move at all when you command it to go (possibly jerk a little and then fault out)?
