    Default Slide cover maintenance

    Hi!

Is your slide covers with lot of scrape and chips has made them sticky ?
-take sandpaper and polish covers really smooth
-replace thin metallic ribbon which protects rubber scraper

I have spent a fortune to these slide covers, and this is the way to double lifetime.
Yes very simple.Everybody should know this. But i did not knew until old service man told it to me.

i regulary clean these slides ... i have scrapes only on lathe, on the W slide, because parts fall there, until i started protecting them with plastic sheet that stays in place with a magnet

i think i will replace that soon, because i am expecting a pats catcher

however, after installing that plastic cover, parts were falling smooth, so i increased the rpm during cutting ... and i break the window

we are merely at the start of " Internet of Things / Industrial Revolution 4.0 " era : a mix of AI, plastics, human estrangement, powerful non-state actors ...
