    Default 1991 LB-15 QUESTIONS

Hello all, i am very raw when it comes to CNC Lathes as i have been programming and operating CNC Mills for 12 years. The new company i am at currently has an LB-15 with a 12" chuck on it and i am trying to get some info to get a Hardinge 25C adapter assembly. My questions are, where do i find the actuator manufacturer? Draw Tube / Bar Thread left or right hand and internal or external? Distance from Front of Spindle to Front of Draw Tube / Bar when Forward and Retracted? And also i believe it has an A2-6 Spindle but one thing that threw me for a loop was our draw tube ID is 2.562" and in the specs all i can find are that it should be 2.200". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you have the big bore spindle which has an a8 nose if I remember correctly. You should have the actuator model stamped into a plate on the front of your machine. They typically were Kitagawa actuators and chucks. I May have some of those drawings if your Okuma rep can't provide them.

We do not have an Okuma rep that i know of, the machine was purchased from some shop for like $2,500 it runs great i am just trying to make it more production friendly as we are typically just running standoffs and parts like that. If there is any way you could get me some drawings for the big bore machine so i can confirm it then that would be great. I cannot find hardly any information online about draw tube diameter or cylinder diameter. I have been looking for quite some time and finally decided to ask in here.
