TRANSFER PROGRAM FROM CIMCO EDIT TO CNC LATHE GOOD WAY

dear friends,

I have a cnc lathe good way machine,
but I will to transfer program from cimco edit to the machine.
I try but always failure, I'm confused which one anything the machine will to setting.
I usually used the mitsubishi cnc milling machine, CNC lathe never
anyone can help me how to setting the cnc lathe good way machine, so can display "receive program from cimco edit"?

I guess the good way is Fanuc based. First what you need to do is to check the transfer setting on your machine, you will find the recommended setting in your manual, then in CIMCO EDIT you need to go in to your settings and make a machine profile that matches the setting of the control, then you have to make sure you got the right cable connected to the machine, this should also be in your Fanuc manual on the specifications of this cable.

Then you tell cimco to send the program, you then go to your control and go in EDIT mode, then go to PROGRAM screen, on your soft keys find and press the button "READ" when you do that just try pressing "EXEC" if nothing happens you may have to press the programs O number "O0001" for example and them press "EXEC" then it should work, if not your settings or cable or even the program is probably wrong

I do have a Fanuc I think is i0 but I'm not shure, I try to acomplish the steps you say Riddersholm but the CNC does not response...
Maybe I am doing something wrong.
This are the steps Im following
1.- Develope the nc file (G-code)
2.- Use Cimco as a DNC with my CNC by conecting both the pc and the CNC with the inicial parameters of my user manual (I can see some response of conectivity...)
3.- In the program screen I push "READ"
4.- I send the file from my pc to the CNC
5.- After a while I write EXEC and nothing...

The other thing I try is to run DNC Program by going into MEMORY-RUN PROGRAM-DNC- BEGIN... but there is nothing

If someone have any answer please let me know

You need % at the top and bottom of your code file

Also try typeing the O0001 then exec
