Anyone with MultiDNC Exp and communicating with an Okuma

Hello all. This may sound like a trivial question at first but please let me explain. I can talk directly with the machine via a RS232 connection to send and receive programs. We now have our Okuma wireless via a $18 dollar wireless dongle and was hoping to find out if the newest version of MultiDNC could speak over the Network instead of RS232 only.

Anyone looked into this, had a similar issue or know of any way to make this happen?

Did you download the newest trial version? It gives you 40 hours to play around before you have to buy it. And yes, ive seen it working wireless, but not sure on what hardware.

I have an older version right now and haven't even thought to download the trial(slightly embarrassed on that note). Im pretty sure I can get it to work "wirelessly" through RS232 to Wifi adapter but that doesnt function over the network. It basically creates its own network.
Thanks for reminding me about the trial, downloading as we speak.

yes, the newest version of MultiDNC speaks over the Network. Try and you will see: it's simple. Network is just a connection between two RS232 ports

According to the MultiDNC website, it will take via RS232 to a special box which can be connected to the central server which is connected to the network but that doesnt give the CNC machines network access. Basically Im trying to cut out that special box and have them access the network on there own and find the program server via IP.

    Thanks.
