    Post Programming Example Okuma LBX2000

I was new to this type of programming a couple of years ago and really appreciated the help I found online. It mostly boiled down to one website though. I am hoping to help other new folks to the milling attachments on this great machine. Although Fanuc is alot easier the Okuma offers a challange, I have some things to offer so here it goes. A couple of pictures of the part and the program to go with it. If you don't understand any of the M or G codes get your book out.Hoping this helps. And many thanks to everyone for there posts also. This is a fantastic website!

Looks good.. what is your control Trampus ?

Did you program it with the one touch IGF (Process decide),
or just by adding process, or line by line in G code ?

    Thanks

Was curious about the machine LBX2000...... no hits on google.
    I assume it's a LB2000EX and probably latest OSP-P200L control?
The program looks pretty lean and mean. I have not seen any auto-written
program that clean coming out of CAM software.
Probably hand-written and using CAM software to generate the tricky
parts and then hand-assembled/edited..... especially because of added
comments etc. CAM software does not add those types of comments.

    Yes,LB2000 EX.

I don't have One Touch IGF. The saleman wasn't convincing enough. but the program has raves from people who use it. My editor is Notepad. It takes them as .min files. But to be fair, I use Bobcad when needed. Redrawing details and clean contours. The "auto-written " programs(OneTouch) from a laptop to machine, by way of a flash drive are horendous!! Though the output in graphics is great. The top of the program for the Okuma is all the tool geomitry. Very impressive. This is really an enjoyable lathe to have fun on. Usually program before hand and upload by stick drive. It reads all the subdirectories just like Windows. Yep. Windows driven machine. Just having more fun than I should have and get paid for it!

    ah! I was correct.... hand-written + CAM
yeah the P200L is Windows-based. With network connection you can browse the net too.
The machine takes it's time booting up though. Enough time for 2 coffee's

    You're right fordav11, I'm running a P200LA control, and boot time is
not short, about 1 fast coffee though.

With the LA control you have more processor power and memory.....
