override limits

has anyone figured out a way to set a maximum limit for manual speed/feed overrides on any type of okumas controls? or, maybe, a para/bit that could be checked through the program & made to alarm out? okuma engineers can only suggest M codes to force a fixed 100%, but I need to keep the option of going slower. seems to me, this should be a typical option in a parameter setting. thanks for any suggestions

some of the older controls had the ability to set your Jog and Rapid rates in the system parameters, but unfortunately on newer controls they've removed that handy feature...

Which control is yours?

typical of "new & improved". we have a variety from osp5000 to p200. you wouldn't know offhand that parameter on the older controls, would you?

On the 7000 or older look in the SYSTEM PARAMETERS and then page down to find rapid and jog rates. I used to change the jog rate in order to allow you to jog at 100% without getting the door interlock alarm. It may have been on the 5000L-G and 5020 as well but anything new than the U - they took it away.
