    Spindle Speed Monitoring

    Hi guys !

I need help on my Okuma machine. I'm developing a supervisory system and I want to get a signal with the speed of the machine spindle.

The inverter unit for the spindle is a MIV22-3.
It have a DB-15 femmale connector that is used for "SWM Monitor Unit" and, with this monitor, I can measure Motor Speed and Torque in a -3V +3V range.

But I don't have this "SWM Monitor Unit". Somebody knows the pin configuration for this DB-15, so I can try to get this data directly from the connector ?

    Thank you !

This connector is outputting data to a special SWM unit that communicates via RS232. This connector isn't just supplying the speed singles. You can purchase the SWM unit from the Okuma Latina America office.
