    First time, long time

Hello cnc zone okuma guys, I wanted to introduce myself because your going to see me asking alot of questions! I registered maybe a year or so ago, but have been on the "other" site this whole time. There is a real lack of okuma knowledge on there, and I was tipped off that there are some very good okuma guys on here. I am a 35 yr old, 17 yr exp metalworking, 6 yr exp machining, I currently run macturn 250w with e100l , cadet, and an okuma (eu-40?) internal grinder in a cell. I make aerospace parts, my company has their own product line. I've also run (proficiently) Lu 300 simulturn(loved that machine, p100, window based controls) , Lu 25 with osp 7000, multus b300w with p200, and an okuma mill that had a Mac based control(only one I ever saw!) that had the table move in y axis, very fast accurate machine( I miss that one too) I am a complete okuma enthusiast, I'm currently on a waiting list with York tech's okuma institute in south Carolina for programming classes, which I'm so excited about! I am studying and using most of the newer technology, and have lots of questions! I love what I do and just want to become the best machinist I can be and nobody will keep me from that but I also am very appreciative of those who teach or help me! I believe in sharing knowledge yet I work in a large shop where that is a problem! I'm trying to be a catalyst in changIng that. So hopefully you guys can be gracious enough to help me out from time to time and hopefully I too can offer any help when I see a question I absolutely know I can answer. I am open to all and anybody who would like to send private messages or befriend. I am very into networking and creating a strong support group of our specific (osp, okuma) brand! Thanks!!!

    sequence restart LU-35 M 4 -axis

    Hello

I am running a 4-axis Okuma LU-35 M When I use sequence restart I have to enter an N# for the A turret and an N# for the B turret I don't want to use the a turret again, only the B turret. I am cutting air with the A turret first before it gets to the B turret. Which is where I want to be. How do I use sequence retart just using the B turret ?

    Thanks Stan

You need to use your "Interlock" button. Hold down interlock and then press "B" which should be above it. DON'T FORGET TO UNLOCK IT!!!!!(same procedure)

note if you switch off one turret you can not re-active it unless you stop the machine and turn it on again. so you are then stuck with one turret for the remainder of the program which might not be best if one turret is doing something and it needs something done with the other turret first (but you switched it off... thus creating a crash situation).
it's sometimes just easier and safer to re-start both turrets and wait than to jerk around doing multiple re-starts.
