To use M98 to call sub program 1000.....
M98 P1000
at the end of the sub program put a M99 and control will return to the main program.
I am training on a Okuma Howa Millac 5VA (year 1983)
It has Fanuc system 6M.
My first thing I am not use to is M98 and M99.
I was trained on an Old BridgePort (probably 1986)model
Can some one Help me with Main and Sub Program?
Thanks

So M98 & M99 are branches from main Program maybe.
M98 lets you do the operation & M99 ends that Operation and goes back to Main program.
Is that how it works?
Yes, that is correct.

Up Date on my training
The person training me Is very Knowledgable of CNC.
I'm Catching on Quick because of his Knowledge
And my Machine Tool training I was Able to Finish.
He uses G92 code too set up Stuff.
I Looked this up on the Internet // One place says to Avoid this Code.
After watching this Person/I say this is a Great Code.
He can Run 5 or 6 parts different XY 0.0 Locations
I am just trying to learn as much as I can/ Thanks for your help.
it depends on the version controller. 6M has nothing else so you must use G92 to set the zero positions. newer controls have other things, you dont need to worry about them unless you have extra options for G54 to G59 workshifts. Its not usual for 6M to have this. If you dont see a page for it in the offsets then you don't have it.
you really should either read a Fanuc manual (any series is good enough for the basics) or buy a book on CNC Programming like "CNC Programming Handbook 3rd Edition by Peter Smid"
Thanks again fordav11
I will be Buying that book.
