    oil drain pans

Hi guys, basically my company purchased a 26 year old Okuma mc-5va but they didn't get all the manuals with it. The last time I was running an Okuma was 9 years ago and I just don't remember where these oil plans go. Any guidance would be appreciated. As I remember it, 1 pan goes down in the coolant pan? Or am I way off base(probably the case)?

thank you greatly for any guidance/help you may provide.

The larger pan goes inside the coolant tank, under the swarf tray to catch the finer chips that wash thru.

the smaller painted pan may go on the other side ( RH ) of the machine in a container that is connected to the coolant, under a spillway similar to what is seen in the last 2 pics ( this catches coolant from the other side that may get past the guards )

Thank you so much for your help but I'm unfamiliar with the term swarf tray. I assume you mean like this?

As far as the painted pan on the right I'm still not quite sure about your meaning the colent seems to all drain to the tank on the left side

Yep, the larger pan sits directly under the holes in the "swarf tray" ( the term "swarf" (swôrf) n.
= Fine metallic filings or shavings removed by a cutting tool.
is just another name for "chips"

the MC-6VAE I worked had another drip collector in pic#3 position, and a hose ran from that back to the coolant tank ( around the rear of the machine )
    - one other possible place is in the rear of the coolant tank directly under the spillway lip in pic#1 ( in that box cavity )

Get the tank into it's correct position before filling, it's hard to move when full.
