Does anyone have experience with floppy-ethernet emulators? Some random guy fried the board handling serial transmission of our machine a few years back and since then we have been running with a floppy in our hand to the machine and back to the computer. I would rather see our machine connected to the ethernet via the floppy emulator than run with a usb-stick to the machine and back. DNC/repair costs $7000+. Not an option right now.

Hi! You need jumpers on M0, S0, JA, J5 and when you do the copy do it under MSDOS. I do it yesterday and worked. Let us know if it worked also for you. Good luck!

Just wanted to chime in here with what worked for me. Used a 3 digit display USB, OSP-U100M on my Okuma. Had jumpers setup as instructed but was getting errors as well....found that I could view the files without issue when using MS-DOS mode.

Thanks! It's almost perfect but still need help.

Got a grey 3 digit sfr1m44-fu and installed on a OSP-7000L lath. Stock nothing worked. Changed jumper as per Kurmay's post and it got much better. I can copy both directions in proprietary format (OSP?) and can copy files from PC to USB to lath in MS-DOS format.

I still can't copy MS-DOS format to USB and see the files on PC. Both proprietary and MS-DOS files are copied to USB correctly (NC indicates successful copy) but then I can't see them on PC, only on NC. Not working either with folders created by PC or by the emulator drive.

    Any ideas?

I have had a unit from Gotek model SFR1M44-FEL-DL and I'm having a similar issue. If I copy a file from the PC to the USB and then try to read it on a 7000L control I see no file (this is in MSDOS mode on the control). If I then copy a file from the NC to the USB the copy says its finished and a DIR shows the file. Back at the PC I cannot see the file only the file I originally copied on the PC. So similar to what you are seeing very strange.

Filename length must be 8 chars in MSDOS mode

    Hello,
on Monday I installed the normal SFR1M44-U100 with 3 digits for PC use in the OSP E100L. You need 3 jumpers for MO, S0 and JA. This is the same configuration as the floppy drive and runs fine.
