Oh, and it's an Okuma mill, MX-45VBE with a OSP-U10M controller.
Thanks
Does anyone know if the distance that the pecking returns, can be changed? If I do a 2 inch deep hole lets say, and my code is G83 R.02 Z-2.0 Q.04 F 2.5, the machine will retract, and then go to .100 above where it was last. In other words, it will feed to Z-1.040 lets say, then it retracts to Z.02 at rapid, then it rapids back down to Z-.94, then feeds at 2.5 till it reaches Z-1.08, then rapids to Z.02, then rapids to Z-.98, then feeds to Z-1.12, and etc, etc. I would rather it feed to Z-1.040, then retract to Z.02 at rapid, then rapid back down to Z-1.02, then feed at 2.5 till it reaches Z-1.08, then rapid to Z.02, then rapid to Z-1.06, then feed to Z-1.12, etc, etc.
Can this be set? Thanks

That should be somewhere among the parameter pages. For P200 lathes it is under Optional Parameter (Multiple Machining)/ Pecking amount for drilling cycle.
Good luck!
its a U10M mill not a P200 lathe.......
I figured it out. It was parameter #2 on the user page (LONG WORD).
I changed it from 1000 to 200. Now it returns to .02 abve where it retracted from.
Thanks
