    Sub Spindle

    Hi guys!
Not that I'm new to Okuma lathes but I never had to use the sub spindle so far because of the organization in our workshop at work. However I need to use it but I am not sure of how to program it. Could anybody paste a fragment of a program showing how to use the sub spindle for P200L, E100L or U100L please! It will be much appreciated

it wouldn't hurt for the OP to read the manual. All of those codes are there explained in full.
But this might not have been what he wanted anyway.
The code pasted is just a standard part transfer.
To use the 2nd spindle requires nothing more than a G141.

this is from memory but should be accurate I hope

    M246/M247 - sub spindle interlock on/off

    M248/M249 - sub spindle chuck close/open

    M150/M151 - sync rotation off/on

    G28 torque limit cancel

    M84 main spindle chuck open

    M184/M185 main spindle interlock on/off

G29 Pa - torque limit Pa = torque load for 'a' axis. a = sub spindle axis in above example W

    G22 axis D L F Paxis
(axis in this case W end target point)
(D distance between target point and approaching point i.e. the distance before target when load is being monitored to target position as incremental value)
(L distance between target point and maximum virtual end point as incremental value i.e. tolerance amount past target point. if axis feeds beyond this point before axis load reaches preset value alarm occurs)
    (F feedrate)
(Paxis. preset torque value. axis can be any axis but for transfer usually its Z or W)

thank you all for your replies! I'm aware of most commands about the transfer and I just wanted to clarify some details as I don't have where to test it out yet.
I do have an additional question - how do you set the zero point of your work with the sub spindle

how do you set the zero point of your work with the sub spindle
it's on the same screen where all zero offsets are, next page, perhaps. Look for "next page" button on OSP.
Check the manual, You need to switch to subspindle mode in some cases. There is a button on OSP for manual spindle mode switch.
Use of variables also is possible
