    OKUMA OSP-U10M DNC-B full configuration

    Hail mighty superbrains of machining!!
    My problem is the following:
I want to make my machine (okuma MSV4020 with an OKUMA OSP-U10M control) able to dripfeed the programs from pc, but the manuals of the machine are very hard to understand..(especially if the communication parameters are not in it, like in my case (
so please somebody who have routine in DNC-B write a full description about the settings witch I have to configure on the machine and pc, I will also need a communication software (I already have NClink but if it is not acceptable) and a step by step guide for setup and establishing connection and starting program via DNC-B...

Before anybody can supply the info,

    One BIG question
Do you have the DNC-B option on the machine ?

Machines do come with PIP, but this is NOT the DNC-B you may think.
go <EDIT> and then <EXTEND> thru all your pages, it (DNC) should be there if you have the option, as well as the PIP

NClink is usable for DNC mode

yes i have the DNC card in the machine, I've bought it as an option...
i have 2 rs232 chanels on the electrical box of the machine one for communication and one for buffer operation each with an I/O switch above them, but im in luck of informations for the configuration and for the steps i have to take to make connection..
and yes i have a DNC-B menu in the edit mode so what are the steps I need to take?
Here is a link for a picture of the connection panel: [IMG][/IMG]
I also have bought one K121A RS232C cable which is described in the electrical drawings sheet of the MC

    Question DNC-B Setup

do you still need help with the setup of DNC-B?

I can provide you with unique software to communicate with the Okuma.
this means all communications are done at the Machine...never have to go to PC!
I can also help you setup the correct DNC Parameters for your control.

please contact me on sertec@surfer.co.nz if you wish to know more..

    regards
