Super X3. 3600rpm. Sheridan 6"x24" Lathe + more. Three ways to fix things: The right way, the other way, and maybe your way, which is possibly a faster wrong way.
Ah yep Ya need a new screen
1. Maybe good cleaning will help.
2. check CRT voltages
3. Find some smart electrician. OSP screen is the same as regular TV CRT screen. It's easy to replace. It's easy to replace by computer monitor also.

Below where you type your post manage attachments button, or a insert link, or insert image(really a link) for a bigger picture, to Photobucket or similar online picture storage, unless you have the luxury of having an online server, which you can link directly.

Use Post Reply, not quick reply, otherwise you have to go Advanced.
In managed attachments, Jpg's and Gif's have to be 500k or less.

My monitor went bad a few months ago (OSP7000). A local arcade monitor repair business repaired it for us. He said the power supply in the monitor blew up. He also said the monitor was 25kHz (i.e. EGA equivalent). The cost was $85. That beats Okuma's replacement price of $5000
The 5000-series will likely have the same type of monitor. You can also replace it with any standard VGA LCD using a frequency converter. Those are pretty standard in the arcade industry for converting arcade cabs with 15kHz monitors that are very old and unrepairable to use any common VGA monitor.
frequency converter is not necessary. Main task is to find vertical sync signal and horizontal sync signal. It's easy using osciloscope.
you don't need anything that expensive. a simple $10 logic probe will find the syncs and the RGB pins also. then its a simple trial and error join up the wires and switch them around until the picture looks right. it takes no more than 5 minutes.
Dumb question from me but have you checked the NC panel to make sure "DISPLAY OFF" button has not been accidentally pressed?
