    Okuma OSP 7000L ALARM 352

    Hi All,

    We have a OKUMA 1995 LB-15II with a OSP 7000L controller.

When I try to start machine, OSP 7000l SYSTEM LOADING and always appears ALARM

352 ROM MEMORY DISK WRITE ERROR

Machine can not start or load the system.
In the user manual that I have , this alarm is not mentioned!

I do have 5 original Floppy system disks - 3.5 that came with the machine does anyone have the manual/proceedure for reloading the software/initializing the memory?

Any guidances would be very appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Boban

    Don't reload software yet
Those disks would put everything back to factory set values, & not take into account tweeks done to some parameters over time

Checked our books for the same machine, same result as you ( but did find a reference of that alarm at the end of the book, but no explanation )

I can only suggest pulling one card out at a time ( back of the machine ), checking for contamination, grime, etc, & then re-seating it

    hi Superman,

I already tried all that, pulled out all the cards one by one. I even heated them in case that the card has a cold solder. nothing has changed.
    The battery is good.
I just tried to reinstall the system but during the installation second floppies appear the same alarm 352nd
I have no more idea what to look

    Hi,

the problem is still present here!
how to check with certainty that the memory disk (FR) is faulty.
I have another machine Okuma LB 15 but system is OSP 5000L , so I can not test my card on that machine.
Only to send the memory disk in the Okuma service?
Is there another way to check my memory disk (FR)? any suggestions?

Typically if you have this alarm the FR (Flash) area on the MEM board is bad. If you get a new MEM board make sure you get a battery connection floppy so you can format the CMOS on the MEM board. Also check to see if you have an extra FR Card on the MEM board, as it could be bad as well.
