CROWN Mill overheating?

This past week my colleague had to stop the production on his machine due to what we think is an overheating problem.

We get this alarm:
811 Alarm P FCP IO link communicator error 10200000
and the machine stops right away, disregarding what it was doing.
last time this happened though, the machine got stuck in tool change position.
that is another problematic...

additionally, there is an alarm on the machine that doesn't seem to cause problems but seems to be recurring often:
4284 Alarm D Thermistor error 2

This is on an OKUMA Crown with a SPP-U10M controller.

Our MA600HB had a similar error.
Turned out one of the Thermistor devices that is used for detecting and controlling thermal distortion was faulty.
There are parameters that will tell you which one is faulty.
Cannot recall which parameters are the ones you need, so... go hunting
Turn on all your parameters and scroll through the list looking for anything to do with thermal settings.
One of the pages will show you the values from the Thermistors. One of those will be showing very different readings from the others.
One of these pages also allows you to turn off the offending thermistor. Good only to do until it is replaced... not as a fix!
Once you know which one is faulty, it is up to you to find its location in the manuals and organise a replacement.
If I get a chance, I will have a look at the machine and see if I can find the info for you. (Don't hold your breath tho!)

everything looks like you are having problems with the fiber optics on your electronic units now you need to identify which one has the problem or review if they are properly inserted

Alright, thank you very much for your help gentlemen!

I looked into it today and spoke on the phone with the technician;
It seems the thermistor alarm has been addressed for a while now and that it doesn't cause any problems anymore.

As for the 811 Alarm, it didn't re-appear. I was able to use the machine all day without a hitch.
I seriously think this alarm is due to the extreme heats we had last week the temperature went up to 39°C and with the humidity factor and the machines generating heat i'm almost certain the felt temp was around 50°C.

Anyhow, I will put the alarm code and the fiber optic diagram on the technician's desk so we can speak of this when he comes back from vacation.
