    APC problem

We have an OKuma MX-45VAE machine center. But APC(M60) doesn't work.
no alarm. I thought "Setup Complete" might have program. So I turned
APC MANUAL INT. in ON position. still no lucky. I tried manual APC
operation. "1 cycle start" and "1 step advance" failed to move pallet,
    even holding"INTERLOCK RELEASE".

Is the ATC in mid cycle ?
make sure that it is at seq#1 or seq#3 ( tool pre-select - it may be even #5, not exactly sure ).

Is the rapid over-ride turned down to zero ?
Do you get any distance-to-go values when executing pallet change ?
Z &/or Y ( or both ) must be at the reference point before APC cycle can proceed.

Is there any messages on the "Diagnosis" page regarding conditions or signals not yet met?
    Does it time-out ?

    I agree with Superman,
Usually the ATC sequence is not at step 1 or 15 (tool ready at sub pot posn) and this causes the APC to interlock.
Before you go on to say that that is stupid and wht the hell does the ATC have to do with the APC, just think about it! The situation on our MA600 is that the tool change door needs to open to do a tool change (duh!) but in doing so, the door would interfere with the pallet change rotation, therefore the system interlocks the APC from moving until the ATC is done.
Lost count of the times I have had to walk the operators thru that particular "fault"
So like Steve says, check the ATC sequence also.
    Cheers
    Brian.
