Okuma Captain L370M and LNS bar feeder

    Hello all, nice community here.

Not sure if this is posted in the correct spot but I need help getting an LNS quick load servo S3 up and running on my Captain. I'm a newb as you can tell by my name, but I'll have help with some of the technical aspects if needed.

The Captain runs fine, but the LNS is giving me problems... here's my hope for this thread:

    1) Get LNS running (currently the pendant doesn't even talk to PLC) - seems to be the major problem atm.

    2) Apparently even when the LNS and PLC were talking there were other problems that may need to be addressed

    3) Get LNS and Captain communicating in the most efficient fashion (will be using mostly to turret stops)

Apparently it had been set up custom prior to this and the G-code was a page or two long of nested if statements to get it to work... which seems like overkill. I'm in contact with LNS regarding problem 1 but the help is slow... so here I am. Anyone willing to help walk me through this? Thanks in advance.

I think a lot of us are willing to help, but we have no magic wands...

Much more info is needed on your part.

    What control?
    Barfeeder interface present on machine?
    Programming issues?
    What alarms are you having?
What specific issues are you having ?
Is the sample code or program available?

If your barfeeder doesn't even communicate with itself, the likelihood of it communicating with the Okuma is nil...

Don't mean to be rude or short at all, we just need something more to go on here.

    Best regards,

Thanks for the response OkumaWiz! I don't take it as rude at all. Unfortunately I believe I have pegged the problem down to the remote for the LNC at this point as being the first problem that must be solved. It's being sent off today to be checked and I'll post the results and information you requested once I've gotten it back.

if it's a P200 control, be sure to switch the system link mode on

on the parameter page #41 set the line 7 set to on to activate the BF

your NC code should look like this if you use a sub to pull the bar

    NTOP G140
    CALL OBAR1
