Hello all, quick question reguarding orienting the spindle durring a bar pulling sequence. The machine is an Okuma LB10 II with the osp700l controls. Previously we have used all round stock, but now with the hex I am having trouble orienting the spindle to grab on the flat's with my spring type bar puller.
Current seqence is:
N1V1=0
g50s1900
n10g0x20z20
nat5
G0x3.Z.18T050505M5

Any help would be appreciated.

When you finish the part and drop it, just turn 5mm (or whatever) back and pull that, and face it off. No? Maybe too costly but it is a way. And if your careful 5mm could potentially turn into 2mm.
