trying to get my LC-20 lathe spindle to orient, wont work with just M19 or a C callout, it looks for spindle orient spec.? OSP5000L-G control, any suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks

Was an option, and usually only with live tooling. Not real common on those old machines.

i.e. that is what the alarm message is.

Sorry kwhite, but if your machine is asking for a spec code then you do not have that option available.

Is your machine an LC20M? i.e. does it have the live spindle option on turret A?

If your machine does have the milling option then there are other problems.

For future reference, please state the full alarm code string as displayed on screen, it does help lots.

Could be its an indexer; will stop and lock at 5 degree angles for example, you need to find out the spec of the machine and OSP type to give us a clue.
