OSP 5020L--Alarm 110A SDU 1

We are trying to get running an LB25 lathe with the OSP5020L Control; we can not get past the following error: Alarm 110A SDU 1

The VAC does not appear to be getting any power...there are no green or red light on the board. When we try to reset the VAC by holding the ALM/RST on the lower front area of the board when we restart...nothing.

Alarm manual is all but useless, "check No. 8 bit 5"

Basically it is saying there is an issue with the SDU Spindle Drive Unit

You should have some kind of lights on the drive unit. Carefully check your power supplies and incoming voltages as well as circuit breakers. Use the electrical diagrams for the power on circuit as a guide.

not only circuit brakers. VAC drive unit has it's own fuses. These could be blown. Ask electrician for help, if You will blow just replaced fuses. Short circuit somewhere. Power transistor (IGBT) modules, most likely.

Finally... Al you have actually stated that an ELECTRICIAN is to be used to check something!
What is wrong Mr Al? Are you feeling ill or something?
You normally resort to telling people to just jump in where ordinary mortals should fear to tread! i.e. where deadly voltages are concerned... and check this or that.
Wow, are you finally figuring out that a qualified person should ALWAYS be used when dealing with this type of area?

Not so much as a "Rusty" nail as in a Bright Shiny one!
Inserted carefully with wet hands whilst standing in a puddle of water... of course!

The "rust" would just make things a little difficult to get the juice flowing
