    OMIT syntax in GRDX command

I've a 'cheese plate' to put dowel holes in. I was planning to use a MODIN CALL of a rough/finish circular interpolation macro I wrote a while back, followed by a GRDX command to get it to repeat the 550 times I need to dowel the whole plate. Thing is I have 8 holes (two groups of 4) to miss in the centre of the plate. Surely the OMIT can be used on the preceding lines before the GRDX command is specified. If so, I need help with the syntax. The programming manual only shows examples of the OMIT being used before a BHC command. The control is a U10M. Thanks.

I can't say I've used GRDX or OMIT (or a U10M!) before, so excuse my ignorance please.
I assume the GRDX uses No of holes (or repetitions) in X and Y, and spacings between them. So I can't see how you can single out one pattern from within a larger pattern.
Maybe you could use separate GRDX commands either side of, above and below the ones you want to leave alone?
Sorry I can't be of real help, I thought you'd have had a ton of suggestions from the others by now.

Would that not omit the whole column of columns 13, 14, 20, & 21? Like this: (not to scale)

    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO

I'm after something more like this: (not to scale)

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Sorry the spaces don't quite work out to represent 4 x 2x2 gaps.

Sure, of course it will omit entire columns. You can describe holes by separate blocks
