I would assume you have a machine to go with the control? Reset always works. You can push the mid auto manual button then spindle stop as well.

When you press Slide Hold and then M.A.M., you can back the tool off of the part, just like in Manual mode, even index the turret.

Do inspection, change inserts, clear chips, check clearances, double check code, put chuck grease in, insert draw tube liners, realign coolant nozzles, use the restroom, comb your hair, eat lunch- Hmm? I can personally think of a bunch of reasons this feature was developed, and see why you would want to know.

In order to start where you stopped it, you have to be in the exact same position and on the same tool you were on when you started moving away from the part. So note actual position before.

Looks to me like you just want to add a M00 (program stop) or an M01 (optional stop which works with the Op stop switch). Is this what you are after?

Can't he just push the program reset button? What i do is press program hold, then manual thing button (don't have a name) then i can move the turret away, stop spindle and do whatever i want, if i change tool i need to go back to the same tool, start spindle then push the program reset button and it will go back to where it was when i stopped it then start push the start button again.
But i don't use the exactly same machine but i think all okuma's is the same.

Wiz is right except you can't put an M00 or an M01 in the middle of a canned cycle.

As far as this goes I have no idea. Oh maybe a mistake between "Reset" and "Restart"??
