    Okuma Cadet start up error

when you turn the machine on it starts to load then stops at this..

    says

    65 Alarm-P SVP start 42000001

    2025 SBP Monitor Data Error

machine will load no further after.

there is nothing in the manual that we have about this error.

any help would be great thanks

I guess, there is description on alarm and error list.
There could be two reasons of this alarm:
    1. Communication, Orange optical cable, as usual. This version is not so likely as second one.
    2. SBP monitor unit is faulty. Most likely.

A lot of times this will indicate the orange Double fiber optic from the spindle drive to the FUB boards is bad. If i am not mistaken i think the boot sequence goes thru the spindle drive first so if there is a problem in the communication the control stops boot up there and posts this alarm. I have also had other fiber optis in the chain cause this as well so check all of them to be sure. If not the fiber optics then probably a bad board in the rack or bad FUB module. The boards etc are easy enough to swap and check but remember to check for any address dip switches when swapping boards for troubleshooting.
