As the title says! Right now I have about a 30,000 lb. boat anchor. The Mitsubishi Meldas 5000C control will not accept input at all. We have tried loading the executive tape several times, but to no avail. I sure could use a good Mitsubishi service technician!
I had the same thing happen to me with an MCV 500 ( with the meldas 5000c )
the guys at the Canadian Mitsubishi technical help center ( missisauga ON ) were really knowledgeable about the system..... make sure the backup battery has voltage (this is where our problems stemmed from )..... we have since retrofitted the control with a camsoft system
We also have an OKK MCV 500 here in SW Ontario.
It's a 1981 model.

do you have the 5000c or 5000c2?
I don't know, but I believe it's just a 5000c. Does it make a difference?
5000c has green display
5000c2 had orange display.
sometimes there are a couple little tricks to reload paramter tape.
does tape start to move or does it just run thru?
I called my buddy up and he said he can only take care of SC and GA. He said he could get smacked around for stepping on someone else's turf. Sorry guy's.
why not contact mitsubishi in atlanta to help out?
