    Cool Novakon 200 Note

I was at the Toronto Trade Show. Was far less People than normal. Anyhow Novakon was there (Great I wanted to see there stuff) I looked over the Model 200 which I have great interest in. I noticed the Z axis was not covered and had a rod with a piece of rubber on it? Also the angle Bracket holding this rod seemed to be a mite small compared to the size of the rubber cushion? made me think? Any opinions guys?? Thanx Mike

the bracket and rod is the counter balance piston. it is not much of a problem where its located in my experience, but it would obviously be nicer somewhere else - you can extend the travel an inch or 2 if you move it like some customers aparently have.

as for the lack of a way cover, the rails and screws are high up enough that this also seems not to be a big issue. again, way covers for the Z certainly wouldnt hurt and i could see scenarios with tall work pieces using coolant that it might become a must.
