There are hardly any threads being started in here, are all of you guys having that good of a time with your machines?? No issues to speak of?
My machine is now equipped with a tapping attachment, so now it taps like a champ. I'll post pictures soon.
The enclosure will be taking shape soon, since I've long grown weary of cleaning up the mill's mess on the carpet.
I received my 30krpm pneumatic spindle, but haven't cut with it yet lest I go deaf - I'm hoping for a 25dB noise reduction from the above-mentioned enclosure.
I tried the poor-man's power drawbar, which consists of me hoisting up a pneumatic tire-changing wrench whenever the drawbar has to go in or out. It doesn't save alot of time. At the very least, I'd recommend a 90degree air wratchet, which is lighter, requires less effort, and you don't have to be 7 feet tall.
Ebay has plenty of fairly cheap power drawbars... anyone try one?
What is also needed is a spindle lock - has anyone installed one on the Novakon?
