Gang, Here is useful code which I have tested to do the auto tool touch off:

Click on the tool setting button, then scroll down to the Tool setting Z description and button code for MACH3.
All you need with this is a touch probe with a known height, with the connection fed into pin 15 on the NM-145 Breakout board screw terminal.

Here is the schematic for the isolated probe circuit. There are only four electronic components. Just solder them onto a small Radio Shack perforated board (with solder pads on the back side). The cabling from the electronics must be shielded all the way out to the probe location.![]()
