I ordered one of Homann Design's DIY pendant kits with the LCD display on it. I'll fill everyone in on it when I get it. It'll take several weeks.
I also swapped out the switch & receptacle with a proper 240V double pole switch & wired the power cord directly from it. Works good. I also picked up some cable extensions for cheap from Newegg and remotely located the KVM away from the machine, at least for it's temporary location, running them over the top of the cabinet with some screw-on cable clamps. Everything was on sale so that was sweet.
I had some problems with the power button working intermittently. When the door was opened the cables would shift slightly causing the cable to unplug from the board. So I cut the cable tie and all's well.
Other than that, everything's been smooth sailing thus far. Although I did finally today email Khai about a transformer that was "left over", or actually, never installed to begin with, as to what it's function was. I assumed 4th axis (which I haven't received yet - it's still 5 weeks away from getting to Canada - eeks!), but he says it shouldn't be for that. So I dunno what it's for. FWIW here's a couple pics (the size is about the size of a fist):
