NM200 V2 soon to ship

Hello all,

Mid June I placed an order for an NM 200 series 2, with 4th Axis 8 in. rotary table, controller, and computer. I'm expecting an email soon from Khai stating my machine has shipped. :-)

My experience dealing with Khai at Novakon has been nothing but great. I get the impression he is excited about where Novakon is going, and I look forward to playing with some of the new goodies they are developing.

I will be posting my experience with the new machine, and hope not to report disappointment as have some of the other customers. I do expect the machine to have been setup and tested properly, but also do expect there will be some setup issues to deal with.


Will keep you all posted along with some photos.

I am glad to see that you understand there might be setup / configuration steps to take. Most people think these ( meaning any machine ) is a total turn key package that requires no work to get running.

You will be pleased with your purchase I am sure. I have a V1 NM 200 and I am pleased with mine so far.

I will also mimic what you have said about Khai. He is very supportive and works with you very well. Couldn't ask for much better service.

id like to see that series 2 in action. im running the 1st gen, and one of the only things i wish for is that faster spindle the 2 has.

i got the 145 coming though, so ill have higher speed at least for small parts.

Yes I would like to upgrade to a the higher spindle of the V2 , if price is comparable to the bang for buck.....

cant really upgrade easily. youd have to replace the whole head with motor. probably cost over $2000. to get the thing going faster it needs bearings, balancing, motor, maybe vfd, pulleys, etc.

ive got a 18000rpm colombo spindle that ive been trying to think of a way to mount to the machine without pulling the whole head off (which is heavy).

I already talked with Khai, and your correct, a whole new assembly would be installed. $2000 might be worth while , but I am not sure yet. I would rather have a power draw bar.
