Very Nice ! I can't wait to see the video.
wood!
these have been sanded a bit. i plan on making a video of the machine cutting one this week.
it works reasonably well despite the 3500rpm spindle. the major drawback is my work hold down. im just screwng the corners, which isnt strurdy and the workpiece tends to move around .005" or so under cutting force. i really need a vac table!
im getting a router with high speed spindle, but i needed to get some prototypes done and the routers not ready, so the nm200 proved to be up to the task.
Very Nice ! I can't wait to see the video.
Any video yet ?
no, the guy with the camera hasnt been available yet. soon i hope.
Wow, that is great!
Can't wait to purchase the NM200, how about pics of your set-up.
so after working out some random stall issues, im back to wanting to make a video of this cutting. im making a jig this weekend from 1" pvc. if nothing goes badly, i should have some pictures and video of it all running.
i may also try to get my colombo high speed spindle mounted to the head which will be fun. not alot of easy ways i can find to mount it though without pulling the head off.
Please get some more pics. Those are very impressive, did you use a step-over 3d contour all over the face of ea' piece?

it only mills the bevels on the edges for speed. was done with a ball nose. new ones are done with a flat end mill.
no videos yet, waiting for a new piece of lumber for tests - dont want to ruin any more good stuff. also hoping to test with the faster spindle, but thats a little ways away.
didnt actually get my jig done this weekend sadly. did get a shop vac though that seems to have the power to run at least for a few tests.
