Default New Oil pump and various parts video.

Well the Pro has been running non stop for the last 6 months on a plethora of different parts/quantities. The only problem I've had (forever) is with the Oil pump leaking like a sieve. I had a catch tray to contain the mess, but more oil was being wasted than getting in the machine. I bought another hoping it would be better, but it was worse. So I had a short break and took some 6061 round and other leftover stock and made a pressure vessel oiler. I already had an extra solenoid air valve wired to the milll and all the fittings I needed on hand. Now just a flip of a switch for 10 seconds to oil everything, and no *&^$*! leaks. I've been taking some pics and vids off and on of various parts. Oil pump is the first part of the vid.

My oiler does the same thing! Any more details on the pressure pot? How many psi are you running into it? I have a 5 gal bucket under mine. lol

No need to fabricate a pressure reservoir - Go to Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Lowe's or whatever, and buy a whole house water filter canister for about $30. That, and a few plumbing fittings, and you're in business.

Culligan Whole House Opaque Water Filter Housing (HF-150A) - Water Filters - Ace Hardware

This is what I've been using for years.

I run mine at about 60 PSI, but my entire oiling system is totally different from yours. I have removed ALL "factory" oil plumbing - pump, manifolds, check/flow-control valves, all lines - and replaced it with dedicated lines to each of the 13 oiling points, with a selector valve to direct pressurized oil to a single oiling point at a time. A micro-processor controls the valve and pressurized oil tank, to provide a measured amount of oil to each point on a configurable schedule.

    Regards,
    Ray L.

Its very simple. 3, 1/8 Npt holes on the bottom. Used the 2 fittings off the POS pump and the 3rd hole is the air port. The cap is 20 tpi threads 1/2" deep with an oring face seal.
I run straight of the compressor main around 100psi.

Matt, what tool are you using to mill those nipples?

Here's a link to the radius cutter.

Word of caution. Measure the tool diameter before use. Mine was oversize by .01 on the diameter resulting in a scraped part.

Thanks Matt. Those cutters are new to me. I am going to have to pick on up and give it a try.
