New Breakout Board with VFD support for Chinese air/water cooled spindles -Machdrives
machdrives.com announces the release of the new "BBB" breakout board with VFD support.
Specifically designed for use with Mach3 and Chinese air/water cooled spindle motors.
The VFD circuitry is fully opto-isolated to prevent noise from the inverter getting back into control circuitry.
A 32 Bit ARM processor accepts low frequency PWM data from Mach3 and issues a high frequency PWM signal to the analogue filter circuitry. Additionally the CPU calculates and applies compensation to ensure a highly linear relationship between PWM duty cycle and analogue output voltage.
A step-up DC-DC converter boosts the +10V reference input to ensure ample headroom for a full 0-100% speed range.
The analogue output stage has a low impedance buffer so the output voltage is unaffected by input impedance loading on the VFD.
The user manual also includes connection and configuration details for the popular Chinese HY inverters.
