New BRB series 80V 20A Servo Drive from Machdrives
machdrives.com announces the release of the new BRB series servo drive. This is our second new servo drive model for 2017, and is a low cost open frame design.
Rated at 20-80VDC input and 20A output, it is ideal for CNC mills, routers, lathes and plasma cutters. List price is AUD $149
While there are several other similar offerings in the market, the Machdrives BRB servo has some important differentiating features..
Lower heat generation. The combination of a switching regulator, power saving mode and an efficient MOSFET bridge means the drive can be screwed directly to the control cabinet wall in many applications, without requiring an additional heatsink.
More accurate tracking. Extending the traditional PID control with velocity feedforward, acceleration feedforward and stiction compensation eliminates tracking errors normally present on starting and acceleration.
Easier setup and tuning. Connection with a standard USB cable to the free Tuna for Windows application means easy setup without an oscilloscope. The 14 LED indicators show all signal and I/O pin status to streamline commissioning and troubleshooting.
