Can't set NCPlot as default program

Hi Scott

I have been having this trouble for a while now on both 2.05 and 2.06.

If I browse to a .nc file and right click / open with / set default program

and browse to the 2.06 folder and click on the .exe. It does not appear in the choice list. I have NCPlot installed in the default location C:\Program Files\NCPlot v2.06\NCPlot.exe . But the only thing I can use is notepad ? I have had no trouble in the past with versions earlier than 2.05.

I'm confused

OS is Vista ultimate.

any insight would be helpful.

Hi Scott,

I had the same problem a while ago. I'm not sure if was this computer or a different one, but it worked on this one. My suggestion would be to run a registry cleaner like ccleaner (which is free) and try it again. I don't think its an issue with NCPlot, I think its probably an issue with Windows.

I kind of thought it was a windows problem as well. But by putting it here I can draw on the experience of all.
